Providing a fun environment built around healthy competition for kids, helping develop skills of their sport, and truth of God’s love.

Students

  • Practice once a week: Mon, Tue, Thur, or Fri at 5:45, 6:00, or 7:00PM.
  • Team devotions at every practice.
  • Guaranteed playing time in each game.
  • Divisions based upon player registrations.
    • Desired basketball divisions: Kindergarten, 1st-2nd grade, 3rd-4th grade, 5th-6th grade, and 7th-8thgrade.
    • Desired cheer divisions: K-1st grade, 2nd-3rd grade, and 4th-5th grade.
  • Evaluations are completed before the beginning of the season to divide teams as fair as possible.
  • Grades Kindergarten–4th grade play an eight-game season.
  • Grades 5th-8th grade play a six-game season with a two-game tournament.

Coaches

  • Coaches provide a critical role and serve to help the season be about more than just a sport.
  • Coaches lead one practice a week that includes devotions.
    • Practice resources are provided for inexperienced coaches.
    • Preplanned devotions are given to the coaches.
    • Coaches receive a $30 rebate for each team coached. Rebates are sent as checks after coaches complete the coach training and are assigned a team.
    • All coaches are background checked and ministry safe trained to work with students.

High School Basketball

Students

  • Available for students in 9th-12th grade.
  • It is a compact season of eight games in three weekends of play. Each team will play one game on Friday nights and two games on Saturday for the first two weekends. The last weekend will be a tournament with semifinals on Friday and championships on Saturday.
  • Registration opens January 13, 2025 and will close when all spots are filled or on March 1, 2025.
  • Evaluations and team drafts will be on Saturday, March 1, 2025.
  • Teams will practice for one hour on Monday nights.
  • Game Dates: TBD

Adult Basketball

Men's Open Gym

Men’s Open Gym is open to anybody in the community. All participants must adhere to the rules of all volunteer supervisors. FBCW reserves the right to ask any participant that is not abiding by any rules to leave the FBCW campus.

  • Men ages 18 and above: Thursdays from 7:00-9:30PM.
  • Men ages 18 and above: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 7:00AM to 9:30AM.

Men's League

  • Men’s League is open to anyone in the church or community to participate. The purpose of the league is to provide a competitive venue for teams to compete and learn about the love of Jesus.

League Overview

  • 8-team league.
  • 8-game season. All games are played on Monday nights at 6:00, 7:00, 8:00, or 9:00PM.
  • Cost is $650 per team.
  • Season Game Days: 8/19, 8/26, 9/2, 9/9, 9/24, 9/31, 10/7 & 10/14
  • Tournament Dates: 10/21 & 10/28

Participation

  • All players must be 18 years of age or older. Must turn 18 years old before the first game of the season. Since the league is recreational in nature, no active roster college/professional players will be allowed.
  • Rosters are due to the league director (Shea Ferguson, 11905 Hwy 92, Woodstock GA 30188) by August 13, 2024.
  • Registration will close once eight teams have paid for the season. There will be no holding of spots for the season.
  • All players must complete a registration form and sign a league rule agreement form before participating in a game.

Exercise Facilities

Exercise rooms are located on the upper level of the B building down hallways B200 and B210.

HOURS

  • Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday: 7:00AM-9:00PM
  • Wednesday: 7:00AM-5:00PM
  • Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: Closed

Exercise rooms are open to FBCW Members, guests of members, or if you are involved in one of our FBCW ministries. Please contact Shea Ferguson at shea.ferguson@fbcw.net to complete a liability waiver to receive access to the rooms.

Use of equipment and exercise space is at your own risk. FBCW, its leaders, and staff assume no liability for injuries or accidents that may occur.

  • Exercise rooms are for those 15 years and older. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.
  • Appropriate clothing must be worn at all times, including shirts and shoes.
  • Use of headphones is allowed but no amplified music is allowed in the exercise area.
  • FBCW reserves the right to ask any participant that is not abiding by any rules to leave the FBCW campus.

Open Gym

HOURS

  • Monday-Thursday: 8:00AM-5:00PM
  • Friday-Sunday: Closed

Times are subject to change. Please note that the organized Men’s Open Gym runs Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings. See recreation information for more details.

  • Students aged 15 and younger must always be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
  • Proper clothing must be worn at all times, including shirts and shoes.
  • No amplified music is allowed at any time without the permission of Sports Ministry staff.
  • Pickup games are allowed during open gym hours. Anyone interested in practicing or using the gym space for other games cannot be kicked off the court.

Pickleball Courts

HOURS

  • Monday-Saturday: 8:00AM-Sunset
  • Sunday: 1:00PM-Sunset

Use of the pickleball court is at your own risk. FBCW, its leaders, and staff assume no liability for injuries or accidents that may occur.

  • Courts are available for open play during specified hours.
  • Courts may only be used for up to one hour at a time if players are waiting.
  • Appropriate clothing including shoes and shirts must be worn at all times.
  • No amplified music is allowed at any time on the court.

Coach: leads the team in skill development and ministry direction with practice devotions and intentional invites to church. This coach is either a member of FBCW or a local like-minded church.

Open Gym Leader

Open Gym leaders oversee organized pickup games during the week. These leaders administrate the games, build relationships with the players, and lead the prayer and devotion time. Opportunities are on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 7:00-9:30AM or Thursdays 7:00-9:30PM.

Recreation leaders assist at either VBS, Elementary, Middle School, or High School camp during the summer. These leaders play a pivotal role in helping create a fun and exciting experience for all campers.
