Children's Choir Special Events

Christmas Festival
This year will host a special event featuring 1,000 musical voices including our K5 choirs on up to our Senoir Adults. All will be singing Christmas music in a special performance. This will be something not to miss. Rehearsals will begin on October the 1st, but you can join now. Contact Nannette Debolt in our music office, at 678-494-2871with any questions you may have. K5 through elementary ages need to call Miss Melanie at 678-494-2872. Be on the look out for a postcard from Miss Melanie explaining all the details about this special performance. There is time now to enroll your child and be a part of this special Christmas event.


Spring Musicals and Special Events
The 4th - 6th graders sing twice a year in evening worship services, and at the end of this year, in a huge spring musical,  May 17, 2009.  This past years' musical was the "Rockin' Trial of Simon Peter, Simon Says." And as always, this production included sets, props, costumes, choreography, drama, and; lots of singing. The 1st - 3rd graders sing twice a year in evening worship services and also participated in the big spring musical. The 4 and 5 year olds sang in an evening worship service on March 30, and performed a mini-musical, "God in My Life" preceding the elementary musical, "Simon Says" on May 18, 2008. The 3 year olds were shown on video May 18, the night of the musicals.

This year will be no different. On October 19, 2008 the 1st - 3rd graders will sing in the evening worship service. And on November 2, 2008, the 4th-7th graders will be singing in the evening worship service.



Christmas Open Houses
Our 3, 4, and 5 year olds have their Christmas open house which is held every year. This year the 3 and 4 Year Old Choirs will have their Open Houses on December 10th and the 5 Year Old Choirs will be able to participate in a "1,000 Voice Christmas Special."  In our Open House there will be Christmas music and instruments to play. Please call Miss Jennifer, Preschool Staff Choir Coordinator, at 678-494-2879 with any questions about our Preschool Children's Choir Activities. As you can see from our schedule page, we have added two new choirs and are always in need of volunteers to help us with these children. What better way to be an extra "Mom" or "Dad" with music!
